Course Expectations and Classroom Rules

Welcome to Liberty Middle School!  I am looking forward to having you in my class this year.  Please review the following information about my classroom.  If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  I’m looking forward to a fantastic year together!

 

Classroom Rules

 

  1. Bring the following to class EVERYDAY

  • Textbook

  • Pen/Pencil – blue or black and red

  • Notebook

  • Folder /Binder

  • Agenda

  • GOOD ATTITUDE

  1.  Some days you will need colored pencils, markers, poster board, scissors, etc.  I’ll let you know when to bring them.

  2. Show RESPECT to EVERYONE at ALL times

  3. Remain Seated Until Dismissed

  4. All school rules apply! (Cell phones, dress code, food/drink, etc.)

  5. No projectiles!

  6.  

    Every third tardy or third missing ID infraction will result in a detention.  See student handbook for more information

     

    Course Expectations

     

    1.      Absent work is the student’s responsibility.

    2.      Homework not completed on time will be accepted for 50% of          the grade up to two days after the assignment was due.

    3.       Larger and longer term projects are required and will receive          -10% each day late.  After a certain point, the student will         receive a detention/referral for not complying.

    4.      Academic dishonesty will result in a zero.

Disciplinary Procedures:

Infractions are documented in the behavior notebook and will affect your conduct grade.  Repeated offenses and tardiness will result in a detention.  I also reserve the right to issue an immediate detention or referral for any severe offense.
