Mr. Gulledge

Hello, Gulledge fans!  I'm Mr. Gulledge.  Some of you might remember me from only a couple years ago!  For those of you that don't, or those that are new to my class, allow me to give you some background information.

 

My teaching experience includes long-term substituting in District 7 for about 4 years, a stint in China (as seen to the left), a year teaching at an alternative school in Central Illinois, one year teaching 6th Grade English here at Liberty and also 2 years teaching 8th Grade US History.  In addition to my in-class duties this year I'll also continue tutoring students after school, and sponsoring Model UN.

Beyond my professional background, I'm a big nerd when it comes to Star Wars, comic books, or horror movies and encourage others to find their own things to "nerd out" about.  In the past few years I've become a decent world traveler and have visited Iceland, Denmark, Ireland, and Germany.

I'm editing this "About Me" page, as I always do, the day before school starts for students.  I look forward to meeting my new 150 or so students.  I do admit that my mind is still thinking about my recent vacation to Germany and Ireland, planning next year's trip to New Zealand, the incomplete summer to-do list at home, and prepping my garden for winter, it is also looking to the future with excitement for all the fun learning opportunities ahead this year. Let's make this year a great one.
